Safety Broker brokered gross premiums worth over €18 million in the first quarter of this year, up 60% from €11.5 million in the same period last year.

Of the total underwritings achieved so far in 2014, compulsory motor third-party liability insurance policies generated revenues of €11.46 million (compared to €7.5 million in Q1/2013), while CASCO car insurance contributed €4.58 million (compared to only €2.5 million in Q1/2013).

During the same period, fire and other natural disaster insurance brought the company nearly €1 million in brokerage fees, thus maintaining the level recorded in the first three months of the previous year.

"However, our strategy for 2014 also pursues other objectives – in the sense that we will focus increasingly on the quality of the services we offer our customers. No matter how much we grow in terms of quantity, our customers will always remain our focus. Even in this context, we estimate that we will end this year with brokerage fees of over €65 million," says Viorel Vasile, CEO of Safety Broker.

In 2013, Safety Broker brokered insurance premiums worth €54.8 million, almost €10 million more than initial estimates. The company now operates in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

"As a novelty, we are proud to announce that we will soon be moving to new headquarters, located in an important office building in Bucharest. Starting this summer, we will have 850 square meters of Class A office space at our disposal to carry out our activities," said the Safety Broker official.
